The Tekhflotets tug takes part in rescue operation

The Tekhflotets tug of the Yeisk Directorate of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch took part in a rescue operation on November 24, 2019 to render urgent medical assistance to a crewmember of the Rainbow dry cargo carrier (the flag of Palau).

The Rainbow motorship moving to the port of Izmir (Turkey) from the seaport of Azov arrived at the harbor of the seaport of Yeisk and asked for medical assistance to the vessel’s senior engineer.

The movement of vessels was closed in the seaport of Yeisk due to the difficult weather conditions (the wind of up to 15 m/s blows from the east and provokes negative surge up to 70 cm). By having coordinated the actions with coastal services the Tekhflotets tug discreetly approached to the vessel in distress to take a seriously ill crew member and transport him to the seaport of Yeisk.

By approaching to the Rainbow dry cargo carrier crewmembers of the Tekhflotets tug took aboard the senior engineer with severe pains in the abdominal cavity. Then the ill crewmember was transported to the seaport of Yeisk and then he was taken to hospital by ambulance to continue medical treatment. At present, the crewmember has been urgently gotten operated and his life is out of danger.
