NAVTEX Novorossiysk coastal station successfully undergoes regular inspection

Following the results of the inspection made by Rosmorrechflot the FSUE “Rosmorport” NAVTEX service Novorossiysk coastal station has obtained Certificate No GMDSS-3/1-3067-2018 of February 19, 2018 of its conformity to the requirements imposed on GMDSS facilities and approved by Order of the Russia’s Transport Ministry No 226 of July 23, 2015

The NAVTEX service Novorossiysk coastal station was put into operation on February 15, 2005. The coastal station is designed for transmitting information on navigation safety to navigators, particularly navigational and meteorological warnings and weather forecasts.

Earlier, in 2007, 2010 and 2013 the NAVTEX service Novorossiysk coastal station also successfully underwent certification upon the results of which the enterprise was issued a relevant certificate of its conformity to the existing requirements imposed upon the work of the NAVTEX coastal stations.

In 2015 the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch modernized equipment of the coastal station that allowed for reducing the level of energy consumption, increasing the system’s reliability, ensuring the highest level of information exchange and equipment reserve.

At present, the NAVTEX service Novorossiysk coastal station includes the control center located in Novorossiysk and a radio-transmitting set located on the mountain of Doob in Gelendzhik. The effective area of the radio-transmitting set is 270 nautical miles.
