Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch Fleet Replenishment

Under FSUE “Rosmorport” Order No 450 of October 30, 2017 a new workboat, the Adis, of ST23WI – M Project has been given to the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch.

The vessel was built in September 2017 under the order of FSUE “Rosmorport” at LLC “Onego Shipyard” (Petrozavodsk, Russia).

The Adis workboat has become the fourth pilot's vessel and the 51st vessel of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch's fleet.

The boat is a mono-hull, double-screw vessel with a single-height deckhouse in the mid-span and middle location of the engine room.

Navigational performance allows the vessel to operate in complex meteorological conditions in seas waves up to 3.5 m high. Ice reinforcement allows the use of the boat in ice brush that corresponds to the Ice 2 ice class. The boat can be used in embouchures, coastal areas of open and internal seas, gulfs, and harbor waters with the distance from the shelter of up to 20 miles.

The vessel has modern, but energy-efficient diesel engines, which provide an opportunity to reduce the Branch's operational expenditure for the purpose of operative and timely delivery of pilots aboard vessels. In addition, in order to improve course-keeping qualities a maneuvering propulsion device has been installed on the vessel. The device helps to increase maneuverability accuracy of the vessel in the process of linehandling and maneuvering in confined waters.

The Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch is planning to use the Adis boat in the seaport of Novorossiysk to embark and disembark the Branch’s pilots on vessels that perform calls at the seaport.

For reference:

The Adis is an ancient name of the town of Temryuk in Krasnodar Territory. At the end of the XVI century Kabardin Prince Temryuk Idarovich built a fortress on the site of modern Temryuk jointly with the Russian troops. In 1570 it was renamed as Adis.
