On October 6, 2016 the Russian President's plenipotentiary envoy to the North-Western Federal District Nikolay Tsukanov visited the reconstructed marine station of the seaport of Murmansk within his working trip to Murmansk.

Director of the Murmansk Branch Alexander Bengert told Nikolay Tsukanov and accompanying him Governor of the Murmansk region Marina Kovtun about the results of the reconstruction of the marine station performed by the Murmansk Branch, and also spoke about the prospects of further development of cruise shipping in Murmansk and in the Nordic region in general after its opening.
