Makhachkala Branch starts rendering pilotage services in the seaport of Makhachkala

The Makhachkala Branch has started rendering pilotage services in the seaport of Makhachkala since June 01, 2018.

Pilot of II Category Sergei Oglotkov of the Makhachkala Branch has provided the first pilotage of the Atyrau vessel (the flag of Kazakhstan) carrying crude oil in the amount of about 10.000 tons and the vessel’s successful mooring to Berth No 4 of the Bulk Harbor of the seaport of Makhachkala. The pilot’s work experience is over 20 years.

The pilotage service of the Makhachkala Branch involves five people. Among them, one pilot has the 1st category and four pilots have the 2nd category.

Professional qualification of pilots of the Makhachkala Branch conforms to the requirements of the Regulations on Russian Sea Pilots approved by Russian Transport Ministry Order No 112 of July 22, 2008.

The pilotage service of the Makhachkala Branch has necessary vessels and vehicles for timely embarkation of pilots on the vessel. All pilots of the Branch are provided with necessary navigation equipment, special clothing and communications systems to qualitatively and effectively carry out the works related to pilotage of vessels.
