Representatives of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Makhachkala Branch met with Chinese entrepreneurs at the branch’s office on December 6, 2017 upon the recommendation of head of the Enterprise and Investments Agency of the Republic of Dagestan Bashir Magomedov.

The Chinese delegation includes the president of the Winning Investments investment group, Hiawatha Oil Services principal shareholder Wang Wei, president of Transbulk International Pei Guan Li, a representative of Hiawatha Oil Services Wang Tao and chief of CIMC State Company Leasing Department Chen Jiang.

The meeting also involved Deputy Director of the Enterprise and Investments Agency of the Republic of Dagestan Vyacheslav Beldei and Deputy General Director of the Makhachkala Branch for Personnel and Interaction with the Executive Authorities Murad Gadzhimuradov.

Chinese entrepreneurs are planning to study the opportunities to create a joint business with Dagestan on several investment projects and in different areas, including projects to develop the seaport of Makhachkala. Particularly, China seeks to realize promising projects to increase the capacity of the seaport of Makhachkala for transshipment, dredging operations, and to build a container terminal.

Acting Director of the Makhachkala Branch Manolis Fulov told the participants in the meeting about the existing potential of the seaport of Makhachkala and on prospects for its development.

After the meeting, which had been held in a constructive atmosphere, Chinese entrepreneurs expressed readiness to continue discussions with the management of FSUE “Rosmorport” and the Government of Dagestan to implement joint projects upon studying the received materials.
