About the confirmation of the compliance with the established requirements to the passenger terminal of the sea passenger-and-freight permanent multilateral check point over the border of the Russian Federation in the Sea Port of Kaliningrad

On December, 11th, 2009 at the session of the interdepartmental commission in the sea port of Kaliningrad the compliance of the passenger terminal of the sea passenger-and-freight permanent multilateral check point over the border of the Russian Federation in Baltiysk (basins №3 and №4 Baltic naval bases) to requirements to construction, reconstruction, technical equipment of buildings, premises and installations necessary for the organization boundary, customs and other kinds of the control, carried out in a check point over the border of the Russian Federation was confirmed. The interdepartmental commission was headed by deputy chief of the Administration of Boundary Objects Provision and Check Points Management J.Z. Bashmashnikov.

 

 

Successful putting in commission of check point objects opens prospects for increasing of volume and improvement of quality of passenger transportation in the seaport of Kaliningrad . Following the results of 2009 the volume of passenger traffic will be about 11 thousand persons. As a whole, throughput of the passenger terminal of the sea passenger-and-freight permanent multilateral check point is 17 thousand passengers a year.

 

 

The FSUE "Rosmorport" Kaliningrad branch was client and developer of above mentioned check point objects, which construction was conducted since 2006. Financing of the construction was carried out by means of the federal budget and made up 68 million rubles.
