According to Statute on the FSUE “Rosmorport” Far-Eastern Branch, the major tasks of the Far-Eastern Branch are the following:
• creation, maintenance, operation and development of federal property secured to the Far-Eastern Branch;
• conducting works (rendering services) in the seaports of Nakhodka, Posyet, Vladivostok, Vostochny, and Zarubino;
• implementation of federal special-purpose programs of sea transport development in the Far-Eastern Federal District (Primorsky Krai).
In order to perform the permitted activities stipulated in Statute on the Far-Eastern Branch, the branch:
• arranges efficient usage of federal property secured to the Far-Eastern Branch;
• ensures safe operation of navigation safety systems and other port infrastructure objects secured to the Far-Eastern Branch;
• participates in the development and agreement of master plans, strategic plans, technical and economic grounds for development, reconstruction, modernization and technical reorganization of navigation safety systems and other port infrastructure objects;
• acts as a client for new construction, modernization, reconstruction and technical reorganization of navigation safety systems and other port infrastructure objects in the seaports of Nakhodka, Posyet, Vladivostok, Vostochny, and Zarubino;
• arranges designer and technical supervision of construction, participates in state committees on the choice of construction sites and putting port objects into operation;
• maintains in proper condition, provides functioning, conducts modernization and new construction of navigation safety systems and other port infrastructure objects in the seaports of Nakhodka, Posyet, Vladivostok, Vostochny, and Zarubino;
• carries out repair, reconstruction and new construction of manufacturing and welfare buildings and structures;
• lets out for lease the property secured to the Far-Eastern Branch, sees that it is safe, properly maintained, and used appropriately and efficiently, and also that the lessees meet terms and conditions of their leasing contracts;
• provides navigation (VTS) services to vessels in the approaches and the water areas of the seaports of Nakhodka, Posyet, Vladivostok, Vostochny, and Zarubino;
• provides information on disposition of vessels and traffic in the seaports of Nakhodka, Posyet, Vladivostok, Vostochny, and Zarubino;
• provides communication services in in the seaports of Nakhodka, Posyet, Vladivostok, Vostochny, and Zarubino:
- local telephone communication services, except usage of payphones and means of collective access;
- intercity and international telephone communication services;
- services on telephone communication through a fixed communication network;
- intraareal telephone communication services;
- services on local telephone communication with the use of the means of collective access;
- perconal radio call services;
- services on mobile radio communication through a public communication network;
- services on mobile radio communication through a fixes communication network;
- services on mobile radio telephone communication in a public communication network;
- services on provision of communication channels;
- services on communication through a data transmission network, except voice transmission;
- services on voice transmission through a data transmission network;
- telematic communication services.
• enables navigation and surveyor provision of maritime navigation in the water areas of the seaports of Vladivostok, Zarubino, Vostochny, Nakhodka, and Posyet, and their approaches;
• provides services on repairs, service and technical maintenance of marine electrical radio navigation equipment, coastal radio and navigation equipment, equipment of the global marine disstress and safety system in the seaports of Vladivostok, Zarubino, Vostochny, Nakhodka, and Posyet;
• provides electric power for the third-party organizations;
• stores cargo and other property;
• provides security and firefighting activities at the buildings and facilities of the Far-Eastern Branch;
• renders consulting, expert, information (also analytical) and other services, conducts marketing activities on studying the markets of goods and services in the field of marine transport;
• performs advertising activities;
• arranges development and training of the branch's personnel in all fields of its activities, in compliance with the legislation of the Russian Federation;
• manufactures and sells products of research and industrial purposes, conducts research, and renders the corresponding services;
• participates in the work of international and other organizations in the field of the FSUE "Rosmorport" competence;
• provides for the economic and information safety of the Far-Eastern Branch;
• conducts activities on protection of state secrets during works related to usage of information containing state secrets, and also to activities, and/or services on protection of state secrets.
