Compulsory Regulations in the seaport of Astrakhan Amended

By order No. 351 dated 22.11.2016 of the Ministry of Transport of Russia, the approved by Order No. 74 dated 22.03.2012 of the Ministry of Transport changes were introduced to the Compulsory Regulations in the seaport of Astrakhan.

In the new edition of the document the locations for embarking and disembarking of pilots for vessels entering and leaving the seaport have been amended. These measures are aimed at decrease of time taken for delivery of pilots and spent by vessels waiting for pilotage.

Besides, in accordance with the new edition of the document vessels shifting from berth to berth in the waters of the seaport of Astrakhan, changing moorings, calling from seaport berths to the anchoring stations and back, except for oil-loading vessels and passenger vessels (except local passenger vessels) are exempted from compulsory pilotage in the seaport of Astrakhan.

Also, the new edition of the Compulsory Regulations in the seaport of Astrakhan clarifies the boarders, within which vessels shall establish radio communication with the seaport of Astrakhan VTS.
