Transfer of the Navigation Marks to the Arkhangelsk Branch

Within the framework of implementation of the program on transfer of aids to navigation to FSUE “Rosmorport” and according to the Federal Law of 14.06.2011 No. 141-FZ, by the Order of the Territorial Directorate of the Federal Agency for State Property Management in the city of Saint-Petersburg of 29.11.2016 No. 557-r three navigation marks: “Pulonets”, “Baklan” and “Shogly” were taken out of the operational control of the Russian Navy Hydrographic Service and transferred under the FSUE “Rosmorport” economic control.

According to the FSUE “Rosmorport” Order of  2.03.2017 № 65 the navigation marks are assigned to the Arkhangelsk Branch that will perform their further operation and technical maintenance.

The navigation marks transferred to the Arkhangelsk Branch, some of which are out of service, are designed to provide safe navigation on the approaches to and in the waters of Onega Seaport in the area from Osinki Iceland to the entrance buoy “Karelski No.1”. With their help the ship drivers can provide safe mooring in the Dvinski and Karelski roads of the Seaport monitoring the ship’s location using navigation marks in the anchoring station.

In 2017-2018 the Arkhangelsk Branch is planning to perform project works and build a new construction of the navigation mark “Pulonets” as well as to repair navigation marks “Baklan” and “Shogly”.

The Arkhangelsk Branch uses and provides necessary maintenance of 435 navigation mark,s 164 of which are stationary and 271 are floating marks, in the Arkhangelsk, Mezen, Naryan-Mar, Onega and Sabetta Seaports.
