Root Section of the South-Eastern Ice Protection Facility in the Seaport of Sabetta Commissioned

In accordance with Rosmorrechflot Resolution No. 89-RU895076000-NZh-39/41-2016 dated 27.06.2016 the root section of the south-eastern ice protection facility, constructed within the limits of the artificial land plot in the seaport of Sabetta, was commissioned.

Root section of the south-eastern ice protection facility includes four plots:
a) plot I - shore protection of vertical type 225 m long;
b) plot II - shore protection of vertical type 1027 m long;
c) plot III - shore protection of vertical type 1157 m long;
d) plot IV - shore protection of declivous type 400 m long,
designed to protect the territory of the seaport of Sabetta from seasonal ice movement and to ensure its all year-round work.

From December 2014 to April 2016, construction of the root section of the south-eastern ice protection was effected in accordance with the “Russian Transport System Development (2010-2020)” federal target program within implementation of projects on construction of federal property of the seaport of Sabetta.

Total expenses on construction project amounted to almost 10,7 billion RUR from the federal budget investments and 9,5 million RUR of the equity capital.

The completion of the construction of the south-eastern ice protection of the seaport of Sabetta is planned after the construction of the deepwater section on December 2017. Currently, the works on concreting of piles on the plot I, submerging of pipe pile and concreting of piles on the plots 2.1 and 2.2 are carried out under the project. The works on concreting of piles at a rate of 700 units and on dumping of sand and gravel mixture 26,7 thousand cbm on the plots I and 2.1 deepwater section of the south-eastern ice protection have been fully completed.
